Potassium-ion batteries: progress and outlook
Potassium-ion batteries are emerging as a promising complementary technology to lithium-ion batteries due to their prospective low cost and potential high-rate capability1. In my talk, I will discuss the progress our group has made in characterizing the transport and thermodynamic properties of K-ion electrolytes2, the structure-electrochemistry relationship in Prussian Blue analogue cathodes and graphite anodes3,4,5, and their impact on full cell performance5.
